BRING A BLANKET AND COME HAVE BREAKFAST WITH US!

The Memorial Park Association is hosting a Memorial Day Breakfast in Memorial Park to honor the 100th Anniversary of the start of World War I.

The Navy’s Color Guard will open the day with a formal ceremony, followed by keynote speaker, Dr. Wayne Wood, addressing the history of the park, dedicated on December 25, 1924 and the significance of Life, the named sculpture by renown artist C. Adrian Pillars.

After the ceremony, we’ll all enjoy a picnic in the park togetherBring your picnic and blanket! Local purveyors will be providing additional food and drinks free of charge (while supplies last).

The event will be from 9AM-10:30 AM. Guests are encouraged to stay for a game of Ultimate Frisbee following breakfast.

Available Parking

Those attending the Memorial Day Commemorative Breakfast between 9:00 – 10:30am at Memorial Park may park in the following lots near the Park:

  • St. Vincent’s lot on the corner of Goodwin and Riverside Ave.
  • Lots adjacent to commercial building located at 1000 Riverside Ave.
    • lot behind the building bordered by Post St. and May St.
    • lot on May St.
    • lot on the northwest corner of Riverside Ave. and Post St.
