Cool Moose Café hosting 2nd Annual “Claws for a Cause,” benefiting the Memorial Park Association

On Saturday, March 5th, at 6:30-9:30 P.M., the Cool Moose Café is hosting a second “Claws for a Cause,” Lobster Bake, to benefit the Memorial Park Association, a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and protection of Memorial Park.

Cocktails, Silent Auction and Maine Lobster

 Jacksonville, Fla. – January 18, 2016 – On Saturday, March 5th, at 6:30­ to 9:30 P.M., the Cool Moose Café is hosting a second “Claws for a Cause,” Lobster Bake, to benefit the Memorial Park Association, a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and protection of Memorial Park.

Laurie Jarvis, co-­owner of Cool Moose Café, said, “Last year we raised over $2,000 for the MPA and hope to raise even more this year, to help the Memorial Park Association’s efforts to maintain and preserve one of Jacksonville’s premier parks.”

A ticket for the event will include:

  • Cocktail hour
  • Silent Auction
  • Dinner with: Clam Chowder, Fresh Main Lobster, Steamers, Mussels, Corn, Potatoes and a “Made From Scratch” Dessert (There is also a Vegetarian and BBQ Chicken option. )

Memorial Park is located at 1620 Riverside Ave., between Margaret Street and Memorial Park Drive in Riverside near the 5 Points area of Jacksonville, Fla. The Memorial Park Association is a nonprofit charitable organization with a mission to enhance, promote and preserve Memorial Park as the premier historic park in the City of Jacksonville. Designed by the famed Olmsted Brothers Firm almost a century ago, it is dedicated to the 1,220 Florida men and women who lost their lives in the service during World War I.
