Cool Moose Café hosting 2nd Annual “Claws for a Cause,” benefiting the Memorial Park Association

On Saturday, March 5th, at 6:30-9:30 P.M., the Cool Moose Café is hosting a second “Claws for a Cause,” Lobster Bake, to benefit the Memorial Park Association, a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and protection of Memorial Park.

Cocktails, Silent Auction and Maine Lobster

 Jacksonville, Fla. – January 18, 2016 – On Saturday, March 5th, at 6:30­ to 9:30 P.M., the Cool Moose Café is hosting a second “Claws for a Cause,” Lobster Bake, to benefit the Memorial Park Association, a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and protection of Memorial Park.

Laurie Jarvis, co-­owner of Cool Moose Café, said, “Last year we raised over $2,000 for the MPA and hope to raise even more this year, to help the Memorial Park Association’s efforts to maintain and preserve one of Jacksonville’s premier parks.”

A ticket for the event will include:

  • Cocktail hour
  • Silent Auction
  • Dinner with: Clam Chowder, Fresh Main Lobster, Steamers, Mussels, Corn, Potatoes and a “Made From Scratch” Dessert (There is also a Vegetarian and BBQ Chicken option. )

Memorial Park is located at 1620 Riverside Ave., between Margaret Street and Memorial Park Drive in Riverside near the 5 Points area of Jacksonville, Fla. The Memorial Park Association is a nonprofit charitable organization with a mission to enhance, promote and preserve Memorial Park as the premier historic park in the City of Jacksonville. Designed by the famed Olmsted Brothers Firm almost a century ago, it is dedicated to the 1,220 Florida men and women who lost their lives in the service during World War I. In 2012, the Memorial Park Association initiated major planning efforts to restore and rehabilitate Memorial Park to its original grandeur, culminating in the development of a viable master plan that is the foundation for continued restoration efforts.
