The Memorial Park Association launches “Adopt The Park”

The Memorial Park Association set to launch “Adopt The Park” sponsorship program 

Jacksonville, Fla. – May 14, 2015 – On Friday, May 15, the Memorial Park Association, in collaboration with the City of Jacksonville, will launch an “Adopt The Park” sponsorship program, featuring local business sponsors.

In an effort to increase donor awareness, local businesses were offered the opportunity to increase their community exposure by committing to different levels of sponsorship, which would show their support for the Memorial Park Association.  Sponsorship levels included the opportunity to be showcased in Memorial Park, on the association’s website and promoted during the year through the association’s social media channels.

This year’s sponsorships totaled over $21,000 and will directly impact the MPA’s yearly costs to enhance and beautify Memorial Park.

The “Adopt The Park” sponsorship program launch will feature:

    • The “Adopt The Park Sponsors” web page.
    • The installation of four new welcome stations, which will include signage, naming the “Promenade” and “Mr. Dawson Society” sponsors and feature the “Esplanade” sponsorship level.

 

The Memorial Park Association is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing, preserving and promoting Memorial Park as the premier historic park in Jacksonville.  Memorial Park is the only memorial in Florida that is dedicated to the 1,220 Floridians who lost their lives in service during World War I.

Established in 1986, The Memorial Park Association is a nonprofit charitable organization serving its mission to enhance, promote and preserve Memorial Park as the premier historic park in the City of Jacksonville. Designed by the famed Olmsted Brothers and dedicated on Dec. 25, 1924, it is the only park in the state dedicated to the 1,220 Floridians who lost their lives in service during World War I. In 2012, the Memorial Park Association initiated major planning efforts to restore and rehabilitate Memorial Park to its original grandeur, culminating in the development of a viable master plan that will serve as the foundation for continued restoration efforts.
